If you haven’t painted since school, you are exactly who we plan our beginner friendly nights out for! Liquid Art makes painting feel easy, social, and genuinely fun. You bring your mates, your date, or just yourself. We bring the paints, the canvas, aprons, the music, and step-by-step support with our fabulous artists so you leave with a painting you are proud of!

What Actually Happens at a Liquid Art Sip & Paint event?

You'll arrive at one of the amazing venues that we work with or at our studio in Great Linford. The tables are all setup with everything ready for you, with

a canvas, brushes, pencil, rubber, apron, a water cup, a palette & a picture of the painting you will be creating already laid out.

Your artist will introduce the painting of the night, showing one we’ve made earlier and get you started with sketching out your painting ready to go! Think paint-along in a relaxed social event, with plenty of fun and creativity mixed in!

We’ll paint it all together in small chunks, demos a step, you try it, then we are on hand to help.  There is music, chatter, and a friendly, anything-goes vibe.  You will mix colours, layer paint, and learn simple tricks for depth and highlights with no pressure to be perfect. If you want your moon bigger, your penguin pink, or your sunset brighter, we our here to help you create a painting you’ll be proud of to take home!

If you are in our Great Linford studio, it is BYOB so you can bring fizz, a favourite bottle, or soft drinks. In our many partner venues across MK, you can order drinks and nibbles at the bar, then enjoy while you paint, at other venues we provide some snacks to enjoy!

At the end of the night, we love to see all your fantastic paintings and have a group photo a the end, we love to see any photo you share on social media too so don’t forget to tag us! You’ll leave having had fab night painting in hand!

Do you need any experience?

 Not at all!!

Our events are designed for absolute beginners. Every instruction is broken down into simple steps, and we demo step-by-step as you paint.  We have guided thousands of people at our events who arrived saying I can only draw stick people, and all go home happy with a finished canvas to be proud off! If you can hold a brush and enjoy good company, you will be fine!

We keep group sizes comfortable and if you need any help just grab us as we walk around the room. You can also sit near the demo if you like being closer to the action.

Most paint parties last around two hours, sometimes a touch longer if the group loves to chat or the piece is extra detailed. We keep the pace relaxed and always beginner friendly.

What to wear to a Paint party?

Come however you like, we provide aprons, but acrylic paint can be stubborn if it lands on fabric. Think jeans, comfy tops, and shoes you do not mind near a paint puddle. Tie back long hair. Roll up your sleeves ready to go. If you are heading out after, bring a spare top in your bag just in case but most guests leave spotless!

The Painting changes each event!

We rotate themes and events going on through the year, so every visit feels fresh. One week you might paint a dreamy Santorini sunset, the next, a cosy autumn forest. Seasonal sets pop up too, like penguins in winter or florals in spring.

The sample painting we show is just your guide, not a rule book. Personalise it with colours you like, add a star, switch night sky to sunrise, we love when your canvas looks like you!

Studio nights vs. In-Venue vibes

In-studio at Great Linford, BYOB and relaxed. You can control the playlist and request music for us to play, you bring your drinks, and we keep the lighting perfect for painting.  Great for dates, first-timers, and cosy catch ups.

At any of our partner venues across MK, they have great vibes, from cocktail bars to restaurants and pubs, order drinks and nibbles on the night.  Some of our venues include snacks, and where-ever you are we bring the full painting kit to your table. It feels like a night out, with a canvas to show for it when you leave.

Both options include all supplies, step-by-step guidance with one of our artists. Pick the setting that suits your mood!

Coming solo, with a friend, or in a big group? Organising a special event, or what to host something for your work colleagues?

Arriving solo is more common than you think, and you will be in good company everyone who comes along has one thing in common; everyone just wants to enjoy an evening out being creative and trying something new.  We also have regulars who return time and time again to our events! Post or pre-dinner warm up, celebrations, or just getting out for the evening!  

If you are planning a birthday, a Milton Keynes hen party, or a team social, we can host a private event with your chosen painting and playlist.

Is a Liquid Art Sip & Paint good for beginners?

Yes, it is perfect!  You get everything you need, a clear guidance, pressure-free. You can sip your drink slowly, laugh often, have a great night out and you’ll be surprised with what shows up on your canvas! The aim is to relax and create, not to produce a museum piece.

Tips to help if it’s your first time attending!

Arrive a little early so you can grab a drink, choose your seat, and get comfy!

Keep a napkin by your water cup, it makes brush changes simple

If something feels tricky, pause and wave us over, we are happy to help! Progress photos are great fun, to look back at the end and see how your painting developed and what you’ve created by the end from those first sketches to your final result!

How to book, Public & Private

For any of our public events, browse the calendar, pick your painting and location, secure your seats!  If it’s an in-house event in our studio, remember bring your drinks and snacks along!

If you’ve got a private groups, tell us your date, headcount, and preferred setting, studio, venue, at home, or virtual, and we will tailor the session to your theme, timing, guests and if you don’t see one of our existing painting you want to do, we can create one for you!
